He has been the marketing director of  Lapidary Journal/Jewelry Artist for more than 20 years, he helped create Colored Stone magazine, and he also is a marketing consultant to Step by Step  Beads and Step by Step Wire Jewelry magazine.

Also a psychologist, David has been called "the Jewelry Marketing Doctor." He is the third generation in his family in the jewelry business. His grandfather and father owned and managed a small chain of jewelry stores in Philadelphia called "Weiman's for Diamonds."
